A number of years ago, I bought an Advent Calendar, which consisted of 24 different sacks, and during the month of November I would spend my time and money buying lots of small gifts x2 to fill the small sacks, for both children. Of course, the finished result looked really nice, but was a bit too fiddly and to be honest in recent years, I just couldn’t be bothered!
This year I took the easy route and bought the Advent Calendars instead. My nine year old son wanted a Star Wars Advent Calendar, filled with lots of Star Wars memorabilia. My six year old son wanted a Jewel/Chrystal Advent Calendar, filled with various “precious” gem stones. Each day is a different gem stone and with each stone, there comes a special word, indicating the stone’s meaning or special property.
Yesterday he had "Blue Quartz which" brings optimism. “What‘s optimism?” he asked me. “This means, that today you will be really happy I told him. He seemed pleased with that explanation.
Today he had "Leopard Jasper" which brings independence. “What’s independence?” he asked my husband this morning, “this means that today you will be able to stand on your own two feet.” He looked a bit disappointed and replied. “But I could do that yesterday!”
